Outdoor Recreation Sub-Committee

The Outdoor Recreation Subcommittee was established in 2015 to advise and provide recommendations to the Recreation Aotearoa Board and staff on key priorities relating to the leadership, advocacy, and capability needs of the outdoor recreation sector.

In addition to providing key information and advice, they meet at least three times a year.

Recreation Aotearoa are accepting applications for three positions on the Outdoor Recreation Sub Committee. 

The Outdoor Recreation Sub Committee advises the Recreation Aotearoa Board on all issues that relate to the outdoor sector and is a vital cog in the overall governance of outdoor recreation. 

If you are a professional from the outdoors sector and would like to influence the direction of Recreation Aotearoa’s work in this area, then we encourage you to apply. The term for a subcommittee representative is three years and you are required to attend four to five meetings per year (virtual or face to face). The first meeting that successful applicants will attend is scheduled for Wednesday 2 November.
