Hamilton City Council - Arborist

Hamilton is known for its natural environment, with street and park trees an important feature of the city scape. Our City Parks team is responsible for the physical work on those trees, and is in the market for an Arborist to join our crew.

The role includes the maintenance of established trees across the city, one-off tree removals, routine pruning and the planting of new specimens.

We're after a committed and enthusiastic parks or tree work professional with a recognised arboriculture qualification , relevant experience and competence with the tools of the arboriculture trade.

Queenstown Millbrook Resort - Assistant Greenkeeper (Grow-In)

Millbrook Resort is an iconic and award-winning golf and lifestyle resort and the vision is to become the leading resort in Australasia, coupled with a 36-hole champion golf course. The objective of the Millbrook Dalgleish Farm Development (MDFD) project is to ensure Millbrook Resort's golf course delivers an exceptional golfing guest experience.

The qualified Grow-In Greenkeeper position will be key in assisting completing the project to schedule, as well as, quality the construction and grow-in phases of the golf course during the development of a new 9 holes. This involves across construction, staff training, agronomy, irrigation, and machinery components of the project.

With a responsibility for the delivering the Swimsmart and Swimsafe programmes at Pioneer Recreation and Sport centre, along with streamlining the customer experience. It's essential that you have extensive knowledge of swim education as you'll be providing ongoing training and support for your team and the wider network. Our network has around 115 instructors and you will have up to 30 direct reports. As someone who has walked the walked, you'll be able to support and relate to all of your staff, understanding what makes everyone special.

The Waimakariri District Council operates three Aquatic Facilities in the North Canterbury region, including Dudley Park Aquatic Centre (in Rangiora), Kaiapoi Aquatic Centre and Oxford Community Aquatic Centre. From these facilities we provide a high-level customer experience to a wide range of users, ensuring that each facility is being utilised to its full potential. We are a respectful and progressive team delivering value for our customers.

The Council is currently seeking applications for Lifeguard and Lifeguard Supervisor shifts. You will be working as part of a team to ensure the comfort, safety and security of our customers while they visit our facilities. We have permanent part-time shifts available in the afternoons and weekends, and as our facilities operate an average of fifteen hours a day, seven days a week, additional casual hours are always available.

We are looking for an experienced 'hands on' leader to provide daily management of our Lifeguard team and plant operations that service the Coastlands Aquatic Centre, Waikanae Summer Pool and Raumati Splash Pad.

As an Aquatics professional you will hold a current PLPC and have demonstrable experience operating a Pool Safe accredited facility.

Health and safety and excellent customer service are critical components of your role. Our team has a complete focus on delivering a safe and fun experience for all our visitors so your knowledge and experience will be instrumental as you lead from the front.
