We have an amazing poolside team full of fun, vibrant, dynamic individuals - and we want you to be one of them!

We have a full-time opportunity for a Senior Lifeguard to work with our poolside Supervisors and play a key part in making sure Splash Palace is a fun and safe environment for everyone. Hours are 40 hours per week on a four-week rotating roster, which will include evenings, weekends and public holidays.

The Waimakariri District Council operates four Aquatic Facilities in the North Canterbury region including Dudley Park Aquatic Centre in Rangiora, Kaiapoi Aquatic Centre and the seasonal sites of Oxford Community Aquatic Centre and Waikuku Beach Paddling Pool.

From these facilities, we provide a high-level customer experience to a wide range of users ensuring that each facility is being utilised to its full potential. We are a respectful and progressive team delivering value for our customers.

To assist with this, the Council is currently seeking applications for the role of Kaiapoi Aquatic Centre Manager. In this role, you will be leading a diverse team across a range of functions to ensure the comfort, safety and security of our customers.

The journal is a print and digital medium that gives you a unique opportunity to share your stories with the multiple professions now involved in the development of park and leisure facilities in Australasia.

Applications are open for three elected positions on the Recreation Aotearoa Board.

Three elected positions have become available, and we are now open for nominations for these positions. A full term for a Board member is 3 years. One of the three positions is for a 2-year term as an elected Board member has stepped down due to personal reasons. The terms will commence at the Recreation Aotearoa Board meeting on 10 December 2021.
