Outdoor Awards

The Outdoor Awards celebrate individuals and organisations that have been successful in significantly improving outdoor recreation outcomes for participants and clients.

The Awards are an important means of recognising the size and diversity of the outdoor recreation sector and provide an opportunity for outdoor individuals and organisations to be rewarded, recognised and for us to celebrate their contribution.

They are also a means of recognising how important outdoor recreation is to the lifestyle of all New Zealanders.

The winners of the 2018 Outdoor Awards will be announced at the Outdoors Forum Awards Cocktail Function in Auckland on the evening of Monday 23 July. Winners will NOT be notified prior to the Awards’ function so we encourage all nominees to attend the function.

Organisations are encouraged to nominate themselves as they will best be able to provide the necessary information to satisfy the judging criteria. When nominating individuals please obtain and provide evidence of their consent to the nomination.

All nominations are to be made electronically. No hard copies will be accepted. All nominations must address the judging criteria in the order and under the headings supplied in the criteria. This makes it easier for the judges when considering the nominations. Where possible provide evidence to support nominations e.g. budgets, results of satisfaction surveys etc. Nominations to be no longer than four A4 pages.
