2023/24 Green Flag Award winners

 

26 New Zealand parks have won the international Green Flag Award® for 2023/24.

What is the Green Flag Award®?

The Green Flag Award® recognises and rewards parks and open spaces providing high-quality and innovative recreational experiences for our communities. The award sets a benchmark standard for recreational outdoor spaces worldwide. Parks are awarded based on a criterion marked by experienced Green Flag Award® judges throughout the country.


The Green Flag Award® winning parks for 2022/23 are

  • Thompson House Park, Horowhenua District Council
  • Te Awahou Riverside Cultural Park, Horowhenua District Council

  • Te Maire Park, Horowhenua District Council
  • Jubilee Park, Horowhenua District Council

The 26 winning sites will be gifted green flags to fly in their respective parks.
