Team Leader - Parks and Facilities - Waimakariri District Council

Waimakariri District is one of the fastest-growing Districts in New Zealand and the third largest, by population, in the South Island. The Waimakariri District Council are looking for a new Parks and Facilities Team Leader with the ability to work effectively across a wide range of issues and enable a customer-focused environment.
The successful applicant will lead a motivated team to work with internal and external stakeholders. In this leadership role you will provide direction & coaching/mentoring to your team, high quality expertise across projects and programs of work for our parks and community facilities network. As well as input into the growth strategy for the District, lead by example through the delivery of a customer-focused service, and manage key stakeholder relationships.
To be successful in this position you will need to have a solutions focused attitude with the ability to work with various stakeholders with conflicting interests. An understanding of public space, contract management, operational budgeting, planning and project delivery would also be an advantage.
