Professional Learning Partner - Primary - Sport Waikato

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced - ideally teacher-trained - leader who is not afraid to challenge the system; someone who can build strong relationships and can drive positive change. In this role you will work closely with identified Primary/ Intermediate schools - liaise with boards, principals and senior leadership teams - developing strategies and systems that will contribute to foster a culture of learning and development within the education community. Your mahi will build teacher confidence, challenge the status quo, and provide teachers with the tools to use health and physical education as a driver for greater well-being in kids. As a Professional Learning Partner, you are tasked with providing advice and customized support to enable positive change in our tamariki’s communities.

The Person:

Sport Waikato is looking for another champion to join our team of champions, someone with a depth of knowledge in the health and physical education curriculum particularly within a primary school setting. We’re looking for an individual who can lead change in the school setting while influencing at different levels to get the best result for our tamariki. You will be an inquisitor, someone who can be critical in their approach to analyse the effectiveness of an educator and a school’s approach to physical activity including the health and physical education curriculum delivery.
