Applications are open for an appointed position on our Board
New Zealand Recreation Association's (NZRA) purpose is to champion high-quality recreation. Our Board is seeking an experienced Director to support the organisation's goal to better reflect the principles of Te Tiriti O Waitangi.
You will tautoko our commitment to:
• Participation - ensuring equal participation at all levels of NZRA, and that Māori have input into decision-making that directly affects them
• Protection - Tikanga and Te Reo are respected and fostered within NZRA
• Partnership - Tangata Whenua and Tangata Tiriti working together in the governance and management of the organisation
NZRA is a charitable body governed by a voluntary national Board of seven people. Four Board positions are elected by the membership and three positions are appointed by NZRA's Board Appointments Panel.
One appointed position has become available and we are now open for nominations for this position. The position is for a three-year term and will commence at the NZRA Board meeting on 14th/15th February 2019.
Please provide a cover letter demonstrating your capability to support NZRA's commitment to Te Tiriti and a CV outlining your previous governance experience.
