This esteemed programme aims to inspire the next generation of leaders and innovators in Horticulture across New Zealand. Recreation Aotearoa’s bicultural journey has taken another step forward with the appointment of board co-chairs. For 2023 the board will be trialing a co-leadership model with previous chair Michèle Frey and deputy chair Bobbi Clark-Heu appointed into the roles.

Recreation Aotearoa and Parks and Leisure Australia proudly announce the renewal of their longstanding partnership through the signing of a new two-year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This renewed commitment reflects the shared vision and dedication of both organisations to partner on initiatives that benefit their members and strengthen the parks and recreation sectors in both countries.

As a recipient of He Puna Korikori, Ngā Taiohi o Te Rangitaupi was able to deliver E hoki ki ō Maunga, taking tamariki and whānau on monthly treks to Tūpuna maunga. Wānanga and whanaungatanga were held at the bottom of the maunga, before participants climbed the maunga.
