Community Collective
The Community Collective brings together people working in community recreation across New Zealand.
Community recreation supports wellbeing, social connection, and community identity. It does this through activities, events, and local initiatives.
It may focus on specific communities or groups (such as age, gender, or ethnicity), a geographic area, or people who share a common interest or need.
The Community Collective connects community recreation kaimahi, supports learning, and helps initiatives succeed.
Members include community leaders, local government staff, play advocates, community recreation advisers, specialist organisations, consultants, Regional Sports Trusts, and national organisations.
The Community Collective meets online regularly. Sessions include case studies, practical examples, expert insights, and discussion on current issues.
It is a chance to connect, share ideas, and strengthen your practice alongside others working in community recreation.
