ARPro assessment process

Learn about the assessment process for ARPro accreditation

To achieve ARPro accreditation at any level, you’ll undergo assessments in two key areas to showcase your ability to professionally communicate relevant sector information.

  • Oral communication
  • Written communication.

Assessment guidelines by Level

Each Level has specific areas of focus for assessments, which are consistent across all Levels. The assessment scheduled used is the same at each level. Refer to the following schedules for detailed marking criteria:

Steps to complete your assessment

  1. Apply for ARPro accreditation
Submit your application on Jotform and pay the fee
  2. Contact Recreation Aotearoa
Once you’re ready for assessment, let us know
  3. Oral presentation
An ARPro Assessor will be arranged to evaluate your live or recorded presentation
  4. Written submission
Submit your written piece to Recreation Aotearoa and we’ll match it with an ARPro Assessor in your field.

You can request a mentor through Recreation Aotearoa to help guide you in preparing your assessment pieces.

Stepping up a Level

Ready to move up a Level? Follow the steps above to submit another application, prepare for assessments at the level you want to be assessed and repeat the process. Your three years for revalidation will be reset to your most recent Level attainment date.
