Erin is of Ngāti Porou descent, and is a researcher, lecturer, and governance practitioner specialising in sport leadership and equity. She is the Deputy Chair of Women in Sport Aotearoa and brings experience across academic, community, and national governance settings. Erin focuses on values-based decision making and inclusive systems.

She has contributed to international discussions, including attending the United Nations Congress on the Status of Women in 2025 as a non-government delegate, and speaking at APEC Peru on the value of sport to the economy. Erin is committed to supporting emerging leaders and shaping sport environments that reflect the communities they serve.
