New membership structure now in place
Last month, we announced changes to our membership structure and renewal process for 2025/26. The new membership structure simplifies membership management, improves billing efficiency, and allows organisational members to include their full teams within a membership tier.
What’s changed?
- One flat annual fee per organisational membership. No more per-person fees.
- Organisational members can now add all recreation staff to their membership at no extra cost.
- The ‘Virtual’ membership category has been renamed ‘Subscriber’ to better reflect its purpose.
- A new ‘Extra Large’ organisational membership category has been introduced for organisations with over 1,000 recreation staff.
- Membership pricing for all categories has been reviewed and updated.
Why we’ve made these changes
Members told us the old membership system was confusing, time-consuming, and created unnecessary admin – for them and for us. With support of our Board, we launched a project to explore a tiered membership offering. We surveyed members, gathered industry advice, and benchmarked against other membership organisations. Since introducing the new structure, we’ve received overwhelmingly positive feedback.
