As our Open Space Service Delivery Lead, you’ll help shape the standards behind the parks, sports fields, gardens, trees, cemeteries, playgrounds, water features, trails and public spaces that are part of everyday life in Napier.

This is an 18-month fixed-term opportunity for an experienced open space, parks or amenity professional who understands what good service delivery looks like – and knows how to turn that into clear, practical and measurable service levels.

Working across Open Space and City Operations, you’ll bring together asset management and operational delivery to establish service levels, strengthen how performance is monitored and ensure our investment in open spaces is delivering the right outcomes for our community.

Delivery of marketing and communications activities to achieve strategic priorities and outcomes set by Recreation Aotearoa Te Whai Oranga. Produce content for each recreation sector including all events. Provide customer service to both internal and external customers and contribute positively to the workplace. Support the Marketing and Communications Manager with other tasks as required.

To maintain and grow the Recreation Aotearoa membership database and provide member support. To provide effective and accurate financial and administrative services for Recreation Aotearoa.

A leading role driving strategy, planning & implementation within open spaces, including collaboration within Council in the Long-Term & Annual Plans.
