ARPro levels
The ARPro accreditation programme is aligned with the grow of Te Puawānanga, New Zealand’s native clematis flower.
Taumata tuatahi – Level 1
Te Pūtake - The base foundation
APRro Level 1 represents Te Pūtake, the base of the plant. This level recognises that everyone comes with knowledge and experience. At this level, candidates are embedding a good foundation of recreation professional skills.
Taumata tuarua – Level 2
Te Aka Tipu - The sprouting vine
ARPro Level 2 represents a time where aspiring professionals are learning and growing. Just like the vine of Puawānanga, they are growing and broadening their knowledge, skills acquisition and career paths.
Taumata tuatoru – Level 3
Te Puawānanga – The clematis flower - guiding light
ARPro Level 3 is represented by Te Puawānanga, the clematis flower that blooms in spring / summer. This small yet striking flower stands out across the bush like a guiding light. Just as the Puawānanga takes two to three growing seasons to blossom, this level recognises the hard work of recreation professionals to get to this point. ARPro Level 3 holders are seen as guiding lights in the sector.
