Skills and Experience

• Be a proven people leader with experience managing and leading a team.
• Be capable of dealing with the public in a confident, calm and friendly manner and dealing with emergency situations.
• Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated commitment to customer service and willingness to and capability for dealing with a wide range of people within and outside the organisation.
• Hold a current poolside lifeguard qualification and relevant NZQA water quality management unit standards or be willing to obtain them alongside other professional development opportunities.
• Current First Aid Certificate or be willing to obtain.
• Be able to work all shifts of the roster – weekdays, weekends, morning and late shifts. (The current roster will provide you with a set 2 days off every week, Friday and Saturday or Sunday and Monday)
• Current and valid New Zealand Full Drivers’ licence.
