About the role

To maintain and grow the Recreation Aotearoa membership database and provide member support. To provide effective and accurate financial and administrative services for Recreation Aotearoa.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate the membership renewal process, including sending invoices and following up on outstanding payments
  • Manage member support, including welcoming new members and being the first point of contact for member enquiries
  • Maintain the membership database (Glue Up), including the annual renewals process and new member sign-ups and contacts
  • Create member resources to support membership growth
  • Create membership campaigns to convert nonmembers into members
  • Maintain accurate financial records and transactions, including invoicing, payments, and reconciliations
  • Prepare invoices and ensure they are dispatched for payment on time
  • Monitor receivables and follow up on outstanding payments as required
  • Code, prepare, and process creditor invoices
  • Reconcile bank statements, including credit cards, regularly to ensure they balance
  • Prepare and submit GST returns
     

About you

  • Experience in using CRM systems, membership databases, and other cloud-based systems
  • Effective relationship building capabilities, internally and externally to the organisation
  • Knowledge and experience in using Xero for accounts administration and bookkeeping
  • Strong time management capabilities and the ability to prioritise own workload
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Ability to use initiative and work autonomously
  • Respect for privacy and confidentiality of personal information
  • Customer focused
