Aquatic Facility Guidelines

The New Zealand Recreation Association (NZRA), representing the aquatics facility industry, recognises the need to have up-to-date industry standards and guidelines. Previously, the Swimming Pool Guidelines focussed on more traditional lap pools. These guidelines have been broadened to include a wider variety of aquatic facilities like thermal and spa pools, hydro slides, wave pools and lazy rivers. The Aquatic Facility Guidelines outline current best practice and industry standards, and provide templates and requirements for managers and operators of aquatic facilities.

The guidelines are produced in electronic form so that aquatic facilities can easily customise templates to create documents like normal operating procedures and emergency action plans.
