The 2012 organising committee for the NZRA National Conference have announced dates and location for this year’s event. It will be held at Auckland University’s Owen Glenn Building from 21-23 November 2012 with the annual Awards Dinner at the Viaduct Events Centre on the evening of 22 November 2012. Get Out and Get Active With Your Kids

NZRA supports the findings of the Milo State of Play report released 12 March 2012 which showed that a high percentage of NZ children are not playing every day. The research found that children aged between 8 - 12 years face significant barriers when it comes to unstructured play, and therefore risk weight and brain development issues by not playing daily. Get Ready to be Inspired - JAWS 2012

13-15 August 2012 at the new Viaduct Events Centre in Auckland

Another top keynote has been confirmed for JAWS 2012! Associate Professor David Gerrard OBE CNZM MBChB(Otago) FACSP FSMNZ. Professor Gerrard is arriving back from the London Olympics in the morning of JAWS and will give us an update! David will also give a brief update on the Drowning Prevention Council of which he is the independent chair. Other confirmed keynotes are: Danie Vermeulen - CEO of the Kaizen Institute NZ, Paul Brown - Face 2 Face, Fraser Carson - FRESCO advertising plus closing speaker, Mark Inglis. These keynotes, plus another 16 confirmed speakers promise to be another great JAWS programme. The registration brochure will be available from mid-May.
