Hamilton City Council - Temporary Gardener

As part of our Hamilton Gardens Operations team, you'll assist in maintaining the grounds at the world famous Hamilton Gardens to their high standards.

A fixed term position, you will be working a 40 hour week for 12 weeks earning $20.00 per hour.

During your time working with the team your focus and area of work will be the well renowned rose garden. Main duties will be bed maintenance and dead-heading the roses. Along with a full driver's licence and growsafe certificate applicants will have horticultural knowledge and experience.

Our Parks Operations team keep our city beautiful and undertake all aspects of ornamental, horticultural, general gardening and maintenance work.

We are looking for two enthusiastic Seasonal Turf Operator's to join our dedicated Park's Operation's Turf team. You will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of plant items relating mainly to grass mowing, and turf maintenance works on our parks and reserves within Invercargill and surrounds as well as assisting with general horticultural works.
