Peel Forest Outdoor Centre (PFOC) is dedicated to providing adventurous outdoor activities that empower, educate, and inspire young people in a challenging and safe environment. We are seeking a passionate and driven Education Partnership Lead to join our team and enhance our educational offerings.
Position overview
The Education Partnership Lead is a key role responsible for promoting and developing educational opportunities at PFOC. Reporting to the General Manager, you will work closely with schools and other educational partners to align outdoor education programs with the New Zealand curriculum, ensuring that they meet the needs of both students and educators. This is a part-time, 0.75 FTE role.
Key responsibilities
- Educational Development: Promote existing education opportunities at PFOC, including camps, outdoor education, and experiential learning, while developing new programs that align with NZQA standards.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, education partners, and stakeholders to drive participation in PFOC’s educational programs.
- Programme Coordination: Oversee the administration and logistical elements of education bookings, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality delivery.
- Impact Measurement: Evaluate and measure the impact of education programs to ensure they are relevant and effective, supporting promotional and reporting efforts.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the General Manager and other staff members to contribute to the strategic planning and continuous improvement of PFOC’s offerings
What we are looking for
- Proven experience in the education sector, with a strong understanding of the New Zealand curriculum and NZQA/NCEA standards.
- Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to build and maintain partnerships with schools and educational institutions.
- Strong project coordination abilities, with experience in developing and delivering education programs.
- A personable and adaptable approach, with excellent communication skills.
- Passion for outdoor education and a commitment to the mission of PFOC.
