We're all busy, yet many of our members are known for taking the time to mentor others. I have certainly been fortunate in my life to be well supported by mentors from the sector.

There has been a strong interest for some time at Recreation Aotearoa, especially amongst our younger members, for mentoring opportunities. Formal mentoring programmes, while valuable, require considerable resources to structure, screen, train, pair and evaluate. We can't arrange that for everyone, so together with Generate and a group of experienced mentors, we are developing a resource designed to support the culture of generous mentoring across our sector.
