Thank you once again to those who provided valuable feedback into our CEO recruitment process. We have now been through a very thorough process and have great pleasure in introducing Sarah to you all.

Prior to this she held a variety of leadership roles with the Department of Conservation in both Southland and Wellington. Her career has seen her work across parks and open spaces, recreation, sport and play with a focus on leading and developing impactful partnerships and driving positive change. In addition to this Sarah has held a range of governance roles within the sector including supporting the development our current strategy Te Whai Oranga during her time on the Recreation Aotearoa Board. A longstanding Recreation Aotearoa Member and current ARPro Assessor and Regional Committee member, Sarah is excited about the opportunity to lead the organisation in the next phase of its journey and support the great work of our members and stakeholders .

Sarah starts with us on the 13th of March, and we can’t wait for her to get started. We know one of her key priorities is to connect with the members so no doubt she will be in touch soon.
