What you love the most about the sector... The people! It's great to work with, and for, lots of like-minded fun-loving people who enjoy being active and healthy. Aquatics industry people are passionate about providing services which are accessible to all New Zealanders and provide huge benefits. I love how important our services are to our customers and how they hold us to account, helping us become champions for all of our various user groups.

Why you joined Recreation Aotearoa... Recreation Aotearoa is an essential organisation for our industry to help us collectively set and improve our standards, represent our industry, and communicate with each other. We connect with our peers and other providers through Poolsafe inspections and the Waves Conference which has helped us benchmark our services plus meet some great people who do amazing things.

Your favourite part about being a member... This year it's been Coffee with Tracey! It was a great initiative which helped us learn collectively and quickly through unprecedented and fast-changing times.

One thing you learned in the last month... Aqua-natal fitness classes. It's a thing and it's fantastic! A weightless way for pregnant woman to exercise is unique, physically beneficial, social, and fun, so my 8-months pregnant wife tells me. She has met some potential friends-for-life there.
