Team Leader Regional Parks

Christchurch City Council - Team Leader Regional Parks

Christchurch is the gateway to the South Island and we have many open beautiful natural spaces which we are proud to share. Here at the Christchurch City Council we have a dedicated team of technical and practical park professionals who are responsible for providing a customer focused approach to delivering quality parks and services. As the Team Leader Regional Parks, you will provide leadership and direction to your team across our biodiversity programmes based on the Port Hills and Banks Peninsula. There is a real opportunity to improve our work planning and programming and deliver outstanding ecological benefits to our environment and the community.

You will support field rangers, project managers and the Area Head Ranger to make sure that operational and capital projects are well planned and delivered, and that staff are supported and workloads are managed.

We are looking for a good communicator, a positive and dynamic leader, to provide guidance and leadership to the team in achieving and delivering biodiversity project success. Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and customers will come naturally to you, and you'll have a passion for maintaining and developing ecological programmes within our parks.
