About the role
This position would be a great if you are currently studying a career in the Sport and Recreation industry. Karori Recreation Centre is a unique multi-use facility catering to a large number of sport and recreation programmes. As a Recreation Assistant, you will be responsible for bookings, birthday parties, holiday programmes, administrative duties and ensuring the facility is tidy and presentable.
Our small team is renowned for our programming with toddlers and school aged children. As a Recreation Assistant, there are opportunities to assist the Recreation Coordinators with these programmes, therefore study or an interest in programming with children would be ideal.
This position is a casual/permanent part-time position, worked according to a roster which does include weekends with the potential of more hours in the near future.
To be successful in the role you will:
•have customer service experience
•be passionate about the Sport and Recreation industry
•possess a customer focused and 'can do' attitude
•have great communication and people skills
•have the ability to work in a team and have fun
•experience with children would be ideal.
