Invercargill City Council - Parks Performance Officer

Full-time

Invercargill's beautiful Parks and Reserves are among the best features of our laid-back southern city, where we value the outdoors and quality of life.

We're looking for someone who is passionate about parks and recreation, with a solutions focussed mind and a particular focus on ensuring quality delivery of the assets.

You will play a key role in the delivery of public services associated with parks, reserves and cemeteries including monitoring and reporting on levels of service. You will be part of the Parks Performance Team but will work closely with the Parks Planning and Operations team to deliver key outcomes.

You will be required to spend a large amount of your time walking through our parks and reserves so a reasonable level of fitness is important while also being comfortable with information technology. No two days will be the same, as you use your skills and experience to ensure that our services to the public are of the highest standard and our parks assets are always in tip top condition.

In your role you will assist with overseeing projects, and advising Council, stakeholders and the community about our parks service. You will be a team player, working closely with the Manager - Parks Performance.

Ideally you will have a background in Horticulture and experience in asset management.

We are looking for someone who has strong communication skills and supports our City's beautiful parks to achieve the collective vision.

And best of all, based here in beautiful Queens Park, you couldn't ask for a better location for your office. So, if this sounds like you and you'd like to be part of a team who are shaping the future of Invercargill's parks, come join us at Team ICC.
