Are you wanting to be a part of something that contributes to our community, supports the fitness goals of others and is a part of a team who aligns passion with their work? We'd love to have you join our Leisure and Recreation team at Splash Palace.

We have multiple permanent part-time Lifeguard positions available for the right individuals who align with our organisation's values, can take initiative, and help deliver quality programs and services to our community. Hours could include evenings, weekends and public holidays depending on your roster. Flexibility is key as Splash Palace is open Monday to Friday 5.30 am - 9 pm, Saturday 6 am - 8 pm, and Sunday 8 am - 8 pm, and our ideal candidate would be able to pick up extra shifts.

To be successful in this role you will need to be a confident swimmer and pass an initial water-based skills test, you will be comfortable in engaging with the public, demonstrate a "can do" attitude, and have the ability to multitask, be willing to gain a National Pool Lifeguard certificate (level 3) and a First Aid certificate. We'll provide the support needed to succeed and obtain the above.

Splash Palace operated by Invercargill City Council is committed to the well-being and protection of children, the elderly and vulnerable adults.
