Gardener - Hamilton City Council
Hamilton Gardens is one of the city's most renowned and popular assets, attracting more than one million visitors a year.
As a Gardener in our Operations team, you’ll assist in maintaining the world-famous Hamilton Gardens, one of our country’s most beautiful publicly owned assets.
Together with your horticultural qualification, you will need to demonstrate experience, knowledge and a strong enthusiasm in maintaining garden areas to very high standards throughout the year. As a team member you will be expected to have a positive can-do attitude and contribute towards the success of the Hamilton Gardens and their on-going development.
Our Gardeners are the face of Hamilton Gardens; therefore, good customer service skills and a friendly attitude are essential. A full driver’s licence and a current Growsafe Certificate are also required.
The recruitment range for this role is between $25.16 - $26.84 per hour and will be negotiated with the successful candidate depending on skills and experience.
Please note, this is a Monday – Friday role, with rostered weekend work as a requirement.
