Full-time; Part-time and Fixed Term opportunities available for enthusiastic and reliable customer service stars!

We are looking for highly motivated, ‘can do’ individuals to deliver quality customer focussed aquatic services to all sectors of our community. As a Lifeguardyou will be responsible for the effective supervision of all customers and cleaning and maintenance of the facility.

All applicants will need a high level of customer service, and the flexibility to work the roster which is for seven days a week including weekends, early and late shifts (between the hours of 5:00am and 9:30pm weekdays and 7:30am and 8:30pm weekends).

Opportunities available are:

• Team Leader (full-time; permanent)
• Lifeguard (full-time; fixed term)
• Lifeguards x 3 (Part-time; permanent)

Position Description Scott Base, Antarctica

All applicants for roles at Scott Base must have the personal attributes to be able to relate well with others from diverse professional backgrounds; demonstrate an ability to support and value an interdependent workplace safety culture, caring for the environment, teamwork, and delivering quality customer service; and be certified as medically fit for Antarctic employment by Antarctica New Zealand's Medical Assessor.

The Winter Field Support role has a primary focus on maintaining the Hillary Field Centre resources to ensure field equipment and food stocks are maintained in an exemplary condition, so that Antarctica New Zealand may meet its obligations to support all field and science activities safely in Antarctica.

Over our summer operational season, a team of four field training instructors are responsible for delivering Antarctic Field Skills courses, and acting as field safety personnel and risk managers to events in the field.

4Trades Apprenticeships, in partnership with the Dunedin Botanic Garden, is seeking diligent and organised people who are genuinely passionate about plants to join their growing team. This exciting opportunity is a full-time, paid position working in a Garden of International Significance that is home to over 6,800 plant species.

In addition to on-job training, this apprenticeship position will require study and tutorials outside of working hours. The ability to work methodically, show a strong work ethic, a commitment to learning and completing the three-year apprenticeship, is a pre-requisite.

To begin a horticultural apprenticeship the successful applicant will be expected to have a ‘can-do’ attitude and the ability to demonstrate the following skills to an intermediate level;
