Community Restoration Advisor - Hamilton City Council
As part of Hamilton City Council's Community Group, our Parks and Recreation unit has responsibility in continuing to ensure Hamilton remains one of New Zealand's most attractive and liveable cities. Our wider team manage the city's visitor destinations, recreation facilities, parks and open spaces for our communities to play, relax and come together.
Become part of the Natural Areas team, working towards achieving great biodiversity outcomes for the city by engaging with community groups and volunteers to undertake native restoration projects, from planning to implementation.
This role encompasses actively encouraging our community to be involved with biodiversity outcomes for the city.
You will be looking to combine your skills in communication, training and supervision by engaging and inspiring a volunteer workforce. You will have cultural awareness skills and have lots of enthusiasm and a genuine commitment to guiding, supporting and mentoring volunteers to deliver outcomes. You are passionate about creating a positive work environment along with following policies and procedures.
