The South Taranaki District Council is seeking a proactive and motivated individual to fill this key position in the Community and Infrastructure Services Group. This is a permanent full time 40 hour per week position with flexible hours based at the Hawera Aquatic Centre and will report to the Aquatic Services Team Leader.

The successful candidate will support the Aquatic Services Team Leader to ensure all appropriate industry standards and processes are followed to provide a safe and healthy environment for its customers and staff. It will also ensure that the Hawera Aquatic Centre and six seasonal Community Pools operate efficiently by maintaining high standards of facility presentation, cleanliness, water quality and oversee plant, maintenance and machinery operations. This position will also actively supervise staff.

The ideal applicant will have the following:

• New Zealand Certificate (Aquatics) Level 3

• First Aid 6400,6401,6402

• Pool water treatment and operations certificate

• Pool Lifeguard Practicing Certificate

• Clean NZ Driver's Licence

Applicants for this position must have NZ residency or hold a valid NZ work visa. In terms of residence class visa applications, first priority will be given where the applicant is in New Zealand.
