Aquatic Centre Senior Lifeguard - Selwyn District Council

We are on the lookout for new Senior team member to join our Lifeguard team!!

Enjoy an active role in our Aquatic Centre where you will play an important part in the day to day running of our recently extended and modern facility.

Senior Lifeguard:

As you supervise the Lifeguard team on a day to day basis, you will maintain a safe environment for all of our customers, delivering exceptional customer service to our facility users. Undertake rostering duties, water quality testing, complaint resolution and reporting as you develop your leadership skills in this varied role.

Your previous supervisory aquatic or supervisory recreation experience means you have an understanding of the operational side of facilities and their importance in the community. An effective communicator you are comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people and enjoy building and maintaining positive relationships. Ideally, you will already be a qualified lifeguard but above all, you have natural leadership abilities and are proactive, motivated and keen to learn.

Hours for the Senior Lifeguard role are as follows (rotating roster):

Week 1

* Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, 1.30pm - 9.30pm
* Sun, 7.30am - 4.00pm

Week 2

* Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, 5.45am - 1.30pm
* Sun, 12.00pm - 8.30pm.

As you work as part of our team you will maintain a safe environment for all of our customers, delivering exceptional customer service to our facility users. Proactively supervise the pool environment to prevent incidents, accidents, emergencies and hazards in this active role.
