Tertiary students and others from abroad:  NZRA has established a relationship with Internship NZ for the placement of students into the New Zealand Recreation industry who are from overseas.  NZRA helps you link/find a placement  amongst our member organisations that will foster you achieveing your goals -contact jennifer@nzrecreation.org.nz .  Internship New Zealand provides:
1. Get the intern settled in to NZ, including getting their work permit, bank accounts, arrival instructions from the airport etc.
2. May ask the employer to offer them enough hours to live comfortably and pay them the going rate for any role they are performing (please note that majority of the internships in the recreation and sport sector are unpaid).
3. Offer the intern support while they are in NZ and help manage their settling into the country and the job.

If you are interested please contact Karen Oswald on koswald@internshipnz.org.nz or Rae-ann Sinclair on rsinclair@internshipnz.org.nz

Check out the Employer Information Sheet for details on how it all works.
