NewsRegional Advisory Group - Nominations for Board Appointment PanelThe new constitution adopted at the 2011 AGM set in motion changes in how the organisation is governed. The result of which is that we will have a new structure for the national Board, and a process for how people are elected or appointed to the Board. To enable the Board and management to remain connected with NZRA's regional branches around strategic issues, and to provide regional input into the composition of the new Board, the Constitution refers to the establishment of a Regional Advisory Group. At their December 2011 meeting the Board formally established the group. The first duty of the group is to appoint an NZRA member to the Board Appointments Panel. The Group is looking for someone with prior experience in governance and the functions and appointment of Directors, who also has knowledge of, and experience in, the recreation and sport sector.
We strongly encourage you to get involved in shaping the governance of NZRA. Deadline for nominations is 30 April. Download the nomination form here. NZRA Yardstick Visitor Measures - Summer 2011/12 ParticipationDo you need to establish or measure your levels of service, report on KPI's or just find out what your users really think? Visitor Measures is an established approach to identify industry results which are benchmarked across the membership annually. This NZRA project is supported by Key Research Ltd and provides an independent means of reporting on the outcomes of the research in an easily understood format which is delivered quickly after project completion. The project compliments the typical community phone surveys that many organisations undertake by focusing on the actual users. If you wish to participate this summer in either the parks or pools/leisure facilities surveys, you need to ACT NOW by contacting Brian Milne - brian@yardstickglobal.org or phone 021 359 041.
