PARKS

2010 Parkland Amenity Horticulturist of the Year
NZRA and Parklands have reached a partnership agreement that will ensure the ongoing ability for NZRA to run, and enhance the YAMH national event for the next three years! This is fantastic news and huge thanks goes out to Parkland for their support. It is fantastic to see sector partners becoming involved. Please ensure that you support those who support us! www.parkland.co.nz

The competition will once again, in 2010, be hosted in Hamilton 5/6th August, with the support of the Hamilton City team. We are looking to really up the calibre of competitors in the event with the view of taking out the National overall title.

  •  identify any people that you have in your workforce who meet the criteria.
  •  note that previous contestants are eligible to compete again.
  •  note that the ideal contestant is not someone who has just completed their Level 4 advanced quals... more someone who is working at supervisory/junior management level.

More detailed information and entry forms are available from the menu to the right of this page.

Parks Categories & Standards
Within the New Zealand context there are currently no consistent and agreed parks and reserves standards. This inconsistency relates to both categories of parks and reserves, and levels of service delivery.
In order to address this issue, and in response to demand by the parks and reserves sector for such standard, NZRA has contracted Xyst to work with the sector to develop a resource of standards and categories for use nationally. . . . Interested? If so please click on the following links
